There is an old Tahitian legend that explains the borders of the city of Paea. The prince of Papara and the son of the prince of Paea fought for the control of the land in a javelin duel. Paea remained free and his prince married the princess of Papara.
Paying tribute to the location of the mural was key in this project by representing part of its mythology, something completely new in the art of PichiAvo.
