‘Clube 27’ is another mural created by Brazilian artist and muralist Eduardo Kobra in New York. On the Lower East Side, on the island of Manhattan, the 100 square meter panel is close to Sara Delano Roosevelt Park. “It is a region of intense nightlife, with ballads and a lot of bohemian activity. A neighborhood very frequented by young people ”, comments the artist.
“It is also a neighborhood with a lot of street art movement. So it is important for me to have a work here and to be able to pass on this message - which is about freedom, but at the same time, about responsibility ”, says Kobra.
The mural is a reinterpretation of a similar work carried out in the Pinheiros neighborhood, in São Paulo.
