About
Exhibiting contemporary fine arts and photography since 2019 in the heart of the Motor Row neighborhood in Chicago, FLXST Contemporary represents and exhibits highly evocative, uncompromising, and stunning artwork by emerging and mid-career artists. FLXST Contemporary supports the creation and exhibition of new artwork across all visual mediums. The art program of FLXST Contemporary is comprised of predominantly diasporic im/migrant artists, LGBTQ+ identified artists, and BIPOC artists based in Chicago and in other parts of the United States who work across all mediums. The artists that the gallery represents and exhibits produce thoughtful, aesthetically driven, timely, and sought-after work. Most, if not all, have socio-engaged and intersectional art practices. FLXST Contemporary’s sister gallery is Fracas Gallery, located at the Mana Contemporary building in Chicago, which opened in Dec 2021.
