Barton Hill Youth Club

Perhaps one of the most iconic spots in the country for a couple of generations of old skool writers, as of autumn 2009 the famous 'Dug Out' has come back into use by writers. This is because the building, which was a boxing club for a number of years after the youth club ceased activities, has now been abandoned and (allegedly) earmarked for demolition.
